How can we tell what build we're on?

the dashboard shows e2_ec2 0.0.36-beta.

Also, how do we update them? I'm working with the Windows version and having a bit of problem getting the repositories to download (they're are 0% cued) and I'm not sure if it's truly a problem or if it's something that the new build will fix.

Thanks!

You need to click the reload icon next to the amazon repo under manage repositories. The other repositories are not functional on windows at this point. Once you reload the amazon repo, you should see 480 ami's under the remote repository tab.

build 178 relates to enomalism2 itself, while 0.0.36 is version of particular module (that allows managing Amazon EC2 instances)

I am confused on EC2 costs being really that great. It seems to me that for small needs (lets say just 1GB in & 1GB out) the starting price is $73.48. With so many VPS providers starting under $30/mon the cost of EC2 starts to look too high.

Of course for scalability that's a different issue. By the way, recently I noticed enomalism to be down, was this due to EC2 or internal?

AWS Pricing on a per VPS host isn't that great. What is great is the fact that you can provision 1 or 100 servers for 1 hour. Imagine doing that at a traditional hosting facility.

About our site, we're moving to a improve our server performance. Someone has been DOS'ing us, using our own software. I guess we get to load test the system, not exactly the way we had planned to do it.
